MY CAMP ROCK ROAD SHOW

The Disney Channel is set to rock Pretoria and Cape Town in September with the My Camp Rock Road Shows! These are two special events that are in celebration of the new film “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam” which hits television screens in Spring. Kids and families can attend the events where there are plenty of “Camp Rock”-themed activities. Kids can learn how to sing and dance in a series of “rockshops”, while there are spot prize giveaways and fun interactive gaming zones. The events culminate in some of the hottest stars in South Africa taking to the stage and performing their favourite hits. Budding stars between the ages of eight and 16 also have the opportunity to enter the My Camp Rock Talent contest, where open auditions see aspirant stars singing in front of a panel of Disney Channel experts. The top three acts from the contest are called back for the finals later in the day and a winner from both Pretoria and Cape Town is chosen to undergo the ultimate show business experience!

SABC EDUCATION BABA INDABA AND KIDS INDABA SANDTON

Baba Indaba is a baby, parenting and toddler expo with strong retail and branding presence - from bottles to bums and rooms to the womb - it’s all under one roof. To add to an already exciting expo, gift vouchers, hampers and lots of exciting prizes are to be won at the show. There is the Kiddy Tags service, prizes every hour to lucky visitors, daily “Takalani Sesame” shows, baby changing and breast feeding facilities, a bottle and baby food warming station, donations to the Red Cross Children’s Hospital and the Speaker’s Corner, where you can enjoy a free cup of coffee and biscotti while learning from the country’s experts.
