NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

The gifts have been opened, the toys have been broken, the Christmas tree packed away.

A new year means New Year’s Resolutions. They're those little personal promises that we swear we're going to keep; that is, until we break them in March.......

March 1st: “ I will not yell so loud that the neighbours down the street can hear me”

January 1st: "I will find at least one pair of matching socks."
March 1st: "Finding one pair of matching socks is statistically identical to being hit with a meteor, while vacationing in Mauritius."

January 1st: "I will serve only totally organic meals to my family."
March 1st: "I will limit serving fast food to my family to just twelve meals a week."

January 1st: "I will exercise every single day in 2010, for at least one hour."
March 1st: "I'll get a DVD of the 2009 Olympics and watch it for 30 minutes a day."

January 1st: "I will not only wash, but also dry all our dirty dishes, immediately after each meal."
March 1st: "I will teach my cat to dry dishes, the dog already washes them."

January 1st: "I will make a time for reading each day in 2010."

UPCOMING MOVlE FOR THE KIDS

PRINCESS AND THE FROG

Release Date: Friday, 29 January 2010 (Ster-Kinekor)
Suitable for Ages 10 and up: Mature Accompaniment
This traditional Disney 2D outing from Disney which is directed by Ron Clements and John Musker of Alladin, Little Mermaid and Treasure Planet fame is sure to be a hit for the whole family and is loosely based on E.D. Baker's novel The Frog Princess and the Grimm brothers' The Frog Prince.
The movie is set in New Orleans where a beautiful girl named Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) lives. One day Tiana stumbles across a frog in the bayou who speaks to her. The frog is none other than prince Naveen (Bruno Campos) Maldonia who has been transformed into a frog by the evil scheming Dr. Facilier (Keith David).
Naveen has mistaken Tiana for a princess and pleads with her to kiss him in order to break the spell. However, that is not how it pans out as instead the kiss turns Tiana into a frog also.
With this unexpected turn, they both set out on a hilarious quest through the bayous of Louisiana as they try to reach the good voodoo priestess, Mama Odie, while befriending a trumpet-playing alligator and a passionate firefly along the way.

CONGRATULATIONS
