The story of a Mural Maniac
|
A little girl stands next to her mom looking at the mural I have just completed and silently whispers, “Can I sleep in my own bedroom tonight mommy?” I realized then to myself…job well done! This doesn't always happen, but it definitely helps to slowly entice kids back to their bedrooms if they are still sleeping with mom and dad.

I have been a muralist for 10 years, of which the past 5 years have been in Cape Town.
I specialise in kid's rooms, but I was privileged enough to do work for a major beverage company, kid's toys companies and an indoor play area and clothing franchise to mention some. |

I only work with Acrylic PVA because of the low odour, quick drying time, and the fact that it is water based. |
Costing a mural is never easy, because you pour so much of your heart into a painting. I encourage clients to tell me if they have a budget, and often I find that they are pleasantly surprised at the affordability. I have done murals on board and cloth too. A Mural in a standard size bedroom can easily be under R 1 850.00 . It just depends on what you want. Murals vary in size, and I love to do Murals with backgrounds that tell a story of their own. 99.9% of my clients love my artwork. I have a huge portfolio, with stunning ideas that may be changed to suite the clients needs.
Quotes cost R70.00 within a 20km raduis of the Parow area. After that it increases, depending where you live. |
